The theodolite has the year 1867 engraved on the inner bottom side of the alidade. The instrument can only be used with a special tripod with foot screws, to which it is attached with a hook. For the levelling, a saddle levelling toric level is used, which is placed on top of the telescope. The horizontal circle is a full circle and the vertical circle division ranges from +50° to -50°. The telescope is placed on the supporting columns and can be rotated.
The instrument was restored in 2016, when a new clamp was made for the horizontal circle clamping screw, and new hairs of the crosshairs were fixed to the metal frame in the telescope. The saddle levelling toric level is missing.
