The level with a sensitive levelling toric level was made at the beginning of the 20th century. The telescope has the Ramsden retractable eyepiece common in those days. The crosshairs are simple, fixed to a metal frame, consisting of a single horizontal and a single vertical hair, without distance hairs.
The instrument was completely restored and lacquered in 2016. The instrument is lighter in color and is perceptibly different from the original color.
