circular level
coincidence toric level |
The level with horizontal circle (transit) was made around 1930. A circular level is used for rough levelling, and a coincidence toric level, advanced for the time, is installed for the levelling of the line of sight. The instrument was primarily designed to measure hight differences. The protected horizontal circle with a division on a silvered bracket and a vernier of 1c and the Reichenbach crosshairs allowed for a detailed measurement on horizontal terrain.
The instrument is in the same condition as when it was originally taken out of service.
