The long-range pulse distance meter was made in 1998. It is mounted on a Leica GRT 42 bracket, which allows it to be used on its own, and with a special attachment it can also be used in combination with a theodolite (e.g., Leica T 1800). The distance meter achieves a precision of 3 mm; 1 ppm for usual measurements and 10 mm; 1 ppm for rapid measurements. It takes 3.5 seconds for a usual measurement and 0.8 seconds for a rapid measurement. The range of the distance meter is 9 km using a reflector with one prism and 19 km in good conditions using a reflector with 11 prisms.
The instrument was purchased by University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering in the framework of a research programme group at the Department of Geodesy. The instrument was not used often and is like new.
