The cutting-edge second-order theodolite was made in 1971. The instrument is relatively small and extremely compact for the category of second-order theodolites. It weighs 6.2 kg. The instrument has Kern's characteristic tangential foot screws for levelling, which maintains a constant height of the instrument's Y-axis. Despite the relatively small size of the circles, the semi-digital method of reading the division by coinciding the diametrical positions of the circle (coincidence micrometer) results in a precision of seconds. The instrument was used for measuring angles in precision geodetic nets for thesis and professional work at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, Chair of Geodesy.

The instrument is in the same condition as it was when it was originally taken out of service; it is almost new and still fully functional.
